At which of these two hotels I stay is determined by the price for the most part. If the prices are similar then I stay at the JW, if there is a large difference as with my current reservations for next April and May where the prices are 2090 vs 3600 for April and 1700 vs 2550 for May, I plan on staying at the Ren. IME, quite often a few months out the JW will offer a special that is near the Ren's price which will obviously change where I stay.

JW is not worth $100-200 USD more per night IMO. If it was 1700 vs 1900, then for an extra $25 USD I would choose the JW.
