14 hours without food is, well, unheard of, especially in J. For the most part, I don't suppose IT system details should be taken too seriously especially if they're not logical. This is especially true for partner airlines, as they (the airline you are booking with, in this case AC) don't rigorously update their own system to match those of the partner.
I've flown on a codeshare 787 flight, where the booking specifically mentions a 767. This wasn't an equipment change as I knew the partner flew regularly with 787s. Even, the check-in agent for the airline I booked with thought I was flying on a 767 (she couldn't access the partner seat-map and my seats were automatically assigned).
