Looking for opinions from frequent JFK flyers...

CMH - JFK (direct) lands at 2:44pm (AA flight, AA metal)
then
JFK - CDG departs at 5:15pm (AA flight, AA metal)

We will have checked bags and these two flights are separate tickets/PNR.

1. Is that enough time between flights, since I assume we will have to claim bags and recheck?
2. Is my assumption in number 1 correct - that CMH agents will not check bags to CDG right?
