Question Baggage transfer ar SYD
Hi

I am looking for some advice regarding checked baggage transfer at SYD connecting to AKL.

We are arriving on BA15 in F from Singapore and connecting onto LA in J to AKL. The BA ticket is Avios redemption and the La ticket is a separate revenue ticket in J.

What are the transfer baggage options?. BA say no through checked baggage as on separate tickets. Do we have to land in Australia and then go to departures to check the bags into LAN?. Is there some airside transfer possible.

Will have a visa for Australia as on cruise from AKL to SYD but not staying in Australia till the end of cruise. Will only be in transit of the BA flight.
