Tried hard at Koh Samui to let me check bags through to Qatar but not allowed on separate tickets. Collected bags quickly at BKK but sadly QR check in desks all closed for 2 hours so had to hang around check in area until they reopened which is not the most pleasant experience! By time we got through the JL lounge was closing but went to the TG lounge which was ok. Hopefully Bangkok Airways may start to interline again in the future but they did say they had problems with missing baggage in the past
