I think the switch to Vittel happened before the embargo issue, as I haven't flew with QR since (only because it's now very difficult if you live in Cairo & Dubai) but I do remember when Vittel was introduced and the bottles are too tall for the special water bottle compartment at each seat on the 777 to close properly (in J/F)!
But I cannot remember what brand of water was there before?
