As some of you might know, the lounge has really basic sleeping pods with a twin bed and a small table. Well, I am seated right in front of pod 3 / 4 and was lucky enough to witness the "cleaning" process in between guests of these two pods.
The cleaning lady walked in, made the bed and walked out. However, at no point did she change the sheets, she reused the old sheet of the previous guest, setting them nicely so that the bed looked fresh and that was it. A bit curious, I asked her as she passed by if they ever change sheets between guests. She didn't understand the question and pointed me towards the "freshly clean pod 3 imitating the fact that I could go sleep there now saying: "3, 4, 5 ready" . As I wasn't heading towards the pods, she got someone from the front desk who told me she was the manager of the lounge and asked me if I wanted a pod. I explained my question and she immediately told me that the beds was only prepared for the same guest to come back because he went to the business lounge for a while (??). At this point I thought ok fair enough maybe the cleaning lady got confused or whatever and even apologized for bringing this up.
Literally 3 minutes later, the cleaning lady came back with a pile of fresh sheets in plastic wrapping and redid 4 pods (including pods 3 and 4 which the manager just told me was left dirty for when the same person returns).
Now, I think that anyone who wants to go to a sleeping pod like that expects fresh clean sheets and not just someone else's old sheet that haven't been cleaned in forever for all I know. This is a pretty major hygiene issue and I highly doubt that this is the standard procedure but rather human laziness taking over basic hygiene concepts.
Has anyone ever witnessed this?
I am actually pretty mad about the fact that I was planing on using one and had I not been seating in front of them I would have slept in someone's old sheet.
And on top of that, the manager basically lied to me saying that it was because the guests were coming back.
I suggest anyone planning on using one of these pods to ask them for fresh sheets.
Let's hope the duvet and mattress pad on the plane are clean and not from the previous flight...
There was a communication issue. You suffered no harm (because you didn't use the sleeping pods). The attendant assessed the sheets and straightened them out for either the same person to return (from the business centre) or for the next person (because the sheets were still ok).

There is no particular hygiene issue here. They do not fully replace the entire upholstery on airline seats before you sit on them. And this is an identical scenario.

I appreciate you're mad because you think you were lied to, but it was more likely a simple communications issue.
