Also, it only asked for ticket numbers (the very long number) but no boarding passes/scans or anything else. Is that normal? I remember submitting a claim for Iberia and it wasn't anywhere near as streamlined.

IIRC the ticket number is what's requested, and I think with Dragon it took mine about a week to come in, after having not received for 2ish weeks. Might be worth giving the BAEC a call?
