Yes, I matched over from UA Gold to CX Silver. Easy to do, just send your future travel, current status, and previous flights. CX Silver is their OWR which isn't a whole lot but they do offer lounge access when flying on CX. I've only heard of one person getting CX Gold and that was [MENTION=239498]G-CIVC[/MENTION].
