I would like to confirm a lot of f4free's impressions vis a vis BA. Having just done a CX followed by an LX trip I would like to suggest that both firsts are heading in opposite directions. LX seems to be improving its service while the CX service is beginning to seem a little stale. Lovely little touches like fresh herbs on platters in LX first help to make up for the not so great wine. The servings and their size seem to me, as well, to be really first rate for a comfortable trip. Plus the second service on the first course seems to be pretty generous even if we no longer get caviar.

I would love to see some of those la prairie goodies returned to the first bag but I actually find the bag itself nearly as nice as the BA bag but without the Hindemarch panache. Frankly you could keep the contents of the BA bag. On the other hand the Shiseido contents of the JAL bag out of Japan seem to me to be the best in the air right now.

All in all I thought that LX acquitted itself quite well and I would easily choose it over BA, would hesitate but probably choose CX (better entertainment would probably be the convincer).
