Just completed a 4-night stay here, our 5th or 6th visit. Stayed on points/CC free nights, so just got an upgrade to terrace suite (with the usual "we don't upgrade on points, but gave you a little upgrade anyway" line). Really great staff and excellent treatment -- freebies with every meal; complimentary juice and fruit with room service breakfast on the first morning, on the next day we ordered a $10 omelette and got basically a full American breakfast (with a half pound of bacon, four sausages, six hash browns), free dessert or half bottle of wine with dinner, drinks not on the happy hour menu charged at happy hour prices, constant attention from staff thanking us for being elite members. Almost exhausting.
Most of the staff are super friendly and eager to interact. We started to recognize quite a few people from prior years. It's gotta be a tough job in these temperatures, but staff morale is incredible.
Only problem: Super high humidity and a musty smell in the room, and a pretty bad problem with our air conditioning. Set at 25 degrees, it would blow icy cold air until the place was freezing cold, then stop and the room would heat up to the point we thought the power must have gone off. 24 unbearably cold, 26 no cooling at all. Engineering came, but couldn't fix; my SO googled and found some sorely needed anti-humidity setting that felt a little better.
