I've not stayed at the Everly yet. I think the biggest drawback is convenience to LAX. I definitely have it in mind when I fly into BUR, however. Our office is downtown and I hate all the downtown hotels, and since my body clock is still on Central time I'm usually downtown at 6:30am and the traffic isn't yet an issue.

I'm not sure I'd want to deal with the Uber from LAX to the Everly, though - the trip to the Palomar is annoying enough.
