D-I UA-LH minimum connection time at ORD is, insanely, 40 minutes. You'd likely be arriving into Terminal 2 and departing from Terminal 1. 1 hour and 20 minutes should be plenty if things are on time. As other people have pointed out that there are additional eastbound flights after this, I'd consider it.

I-D LH-UA is 1 hour, 15 minutes, and involves a transfer from Terminal 5 to (likely) Terminal 2. With GE and no checked luggage -- and given that it's not the last flight of the day -- I'd say that your 1:20 connection is right on the edge of reasonable.
