I would just figure that the first ones to get upgraded to F at the UG window change time sweeps are those Dia and Plts s still holding the good seats in C+ and thus hold out that I'm next in line for one of those.

This assumes that there will be upgrades at the DM/PM window, but DL is holding more inventory back these days.
Moreover, if there are lots of DMs on the upgrade list, the ones most likely to be upgraded are those who purchased tickets most recently and therefore have higher fare classes, so they're likely to be in bad seats.
