I have a reservation (points) for March as well. You have to cancel a points booking 7 days prior arrival to get your points back. Same for the best available $ rate.
For another booking in May ($, Honors early saver) I have to prepay 30% of the total price for the stay, which I won't get back in case of cancelation.
