Yeah, so don't you think it would be a decent idea to stop in Wanaka for the night? Maybe just not the 2 nights I originally thought... adding over 1hr of drive from Queenstown->Franz Josef kind of sucks is my worry because I know the drive itself is great, and changes once you get to the west coast. Lots of stopping to take photos and what not. That 1hr just gets added to an already-long drive... hmm!
