What a coincidence! I too ahd same pathetic bad experience with the Chase travel cancelation benefit and flight I booked was Air Canada using my CSR card. I had all the proof, emergency hospital admission and stay on day of departure. They ignored and lied so shamelessly! They denied my trip cancelation saying the original carrier paid and booked my return trip. I did send them, email them showing how I myself paid for my return flight. They got everything and they just ignored and never replied me back ever! Chase Exec office refused to intervene saying they can't do anything. BBB refused my complaint saying I should speak to insurance investigator or something. If I had all the time and energy, I would have taken them to small claims court but the lost here is $250 and I am too busy with my family and child and it has now been 10 months. I am not keeping this card for the non existence travel benefit! I am looking forward to canceling it before the end of the month!
