During the hand baggage ban of 2006 I have never had so many early pushbacks and arrivals. In one circumstance we were light loadad on a DUS turnaround and arrived back on stand in the UK 10mins after STD from DUS! even full we left 15 mins early without fail. The biggest cause of delays when all the pax show up at the gate is handbaggage related issues. Second to this are ATC and the knock on (reactionary) delays.
