I'm torn between the DoubleTree and Hilton for a stay in December. Yes, I know that the Hilton won't be a Hilton property in January...

Similar questions, which is closer to touristy stuff, getting from/to the airport, etc.

My flight arrives at PVG around 9am (I'm doing the long way around, through LHR), so an early check-in would be fantastic, though I know it can't be guaranteed (unless I pay for the night prior).

Prices are very similar between the Hilton and DoubleTree. While I'm sure the W-A is a great property, it is a bit steep for me.
Unless one of the other Hilton properties in town would be a good fit?

As an aside, I stayed at the Paris Hilton just a few weeks before it left the Hilton family. It definitely wasn't my best stay, and was a bit off from other reviews I had seen in our thread here. So I'm a bit leery of doing that again.
I'd stay at the Hilton one last time before it goes to a non-Hilton property. While it isn't the bund, I always loved sitting the in the EL watching the traffic from up high drive towards the Bund on the Yan-an Elevated Road.
