The food side of in the menu is in need of an update, too.
The packaged Pringles and candy bars are fine, but they could (and should) up their game with the real/fresh food options. I try to eat healthy (no bread, so no sandwiches for me) and, damn, I am so sick of that awful, boring, bland chicken salad. And it's packaged and presented like it came from the convenience store in an Esso station.
And how about some real, bonafide breakfast choices in the buy on board?
And for what it's worth, the extra food for Plus passengers (on 737 flights, not 767) is kind of laughable. I know they bend over backwards to make sure everyone understands that Plus is NOT business class ... but c'mon. The little plastic bag of apple slices that's from a McD happy meal? The factory made, shrink-wrapped dessert? Pretty underwhelming, even though it's 'only' a premium economy product. And the 'breakfast' in Plus is even worse -- totally pointless. I take a pass on that every time.
I find food to be the only cringeworthy part of longer haul WS flights in North America. I'd love them to up their game in pre-purchase, BoB, and Plus food offerings.
