"Coach" just means the system that pulls the relevant class of service -- "United Economy, United Polaris business", etc. -- is down. If the fare class shows I and you can select a seat in J, you're good.

A second award ticket question. They gave us a tight 55 minute connection in IAH. I have no status with United, but any chance they'll be willing to put us a on an earlier DEN>IAH without a fee? Would love a bit of extra time before that long flight...
