And more importantly, the 77W typically serves the first flight of the day from TPE-HKG so it's what OP will connect to off of IAH-TPE.
Of the 8x daily BR/B7 flights on the route, only 2x are on 77W but only 2-3x are served by A321 (depending on the day/season). The rest are A333/A332 with angled-flat seats, so the vast majority of J seats on this route are still far better than domestic F.
