Views on arrival into SYD depend on which side you sit on and the mercy of the wind gods. Left side has the best view of the city for arrival onto RW16. But really, all views are good on arrival. If low cloud, you might not see anything.

I'd be inclined to take Left side seats for the AKL-SYD flights because the sun is on the right side of the plane (more an issue for afternoon flights when the sun will be infront of you if on the right).

I'd avoid the QF 737 row 1 seats due to limited leg stretch room and no cut-out at the bottom of the bulkhead wall. Also, overhead space for row 1 can be reduced due to equipment and the odd crew bag (but they could dump these anywhere in Business).

There will always be a reasonable meal of some sort. I'm unsure whether your flight has a proper breakfast service or more general "meal service". If in doubt, grab something from the lounge beforehand - there will be food there.
