The call should get answered and the caller given a different number to ring back on.

All numbers from Blue to Gold are readily available on the BA website, so I'd think there's widespread opportunism. I'm therefore surprised BA hasn't implemented a 'Enter your BAEC number' pre-check to filter out any chancers.
