I guess the Domestic AC Check-in at YUL is the last space to be rennovated at that terminal. I know it has never been very attractive, and is always crowded and chaotic. Back when CP and AC merged, for several months it was weird to watch the crowds and overworked staff at the AC end of check-in, while a few meters away, the CP desks were virtually empty and an oasis of civility. Of course, work rules, etc. meant that CP staffers could not offer a hand to AC staffers, nor could they check AC passengers in because the computer systems were not yet merged.

Talk about a snake swallowing a pig, it really seems that this past three years has been just that, and finally the lump is disintegrating. AC will be down to close to the size it was before taking over CP, and rational operating economies can finally be realized. But while that is nice to say, it also means major life changes for several thousand former CP and AC employees.
