I wouldn't do it. Suppose it also depends on what kind of Y fares you typically buy. I generally buy Flex and Flex Plus, because my schedule moves around and I often buy late. So I'd probably get a good Op-Up return regardless. But then (at least on the routes I fly) up front or upstairs is so often full....
