Residence Inn properties often make an extra effort, with a bit more selection and care. Also, the coffee is usually acceptable (but I sometimes take one taste and go elsewhere for coffee). Residence Inn breakfasts are usually an okay way to start the day.

SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites tend to be similar to each other, with some properties better than others. I usually have to go elsewhere for coffee.

My only experience with Towneplace Suites was a single property in the Indianapolis area around five years ago. Breakfast was awful.
