For a few weeks, I haven't been able to book a single KLM or Air France ticket using travel.americanexpress.co.uk (I have a UK account).
Right after the payment step, when the website tries to issue the ticket I get a message saying there's been an error with the frequent flyer number while none was entered.
I tried Safari, Chrome and Firefox on OSX in addition to Safari on my iPad.
I've booked DL and AA tickets without any problems, though.
I've reported the problem but amex hasn't fixed it yet and if I call Platinum travel they charge me the airline CC fees (which is a bit aberrant to be charged extra for using my amex card) and also miss on the double MR points.
I've raised a complaint and they were supposed to get back to me 2 weeks ago...
Is anyone else having the same issue?
I've been having this problem too with BA, and any other airline when I add hertz in. Basically made me give up with booking with them online. Added to that the utter impossibility of changing flights you've booked online and its much much better booking directly with the airline if its the same price.
