AC Bellevue, WA (Seattle area)

Check In Very friendly clerk, who moved me immediately to a King room when I mentioned it (I had booked two queens). Amusing scene of mutual miscommunication regarding my Platinum benefits as my rate included breakfast. Finally, it was agreed that a) one full breakfast credit, b) a $10 food/beverage credit and c) 400 elite points were all in the system for my benefit, no physical vouchers needed. Room Standard AC room, which was fine. This one overlooked a back street on a holiday weekend, so the surroundings were virtually dead. Almost no noise from there, or the corridor. This is one time where I was glad the room was a bit small, as a larger one would've seemed sterile. Bathroom featured a dual-function shower for both direct overhead, and hand-held flow; the latter worked fine for me. Toiletries were AC branded shampoo, conditioner, and lotion/gel in gray AC-branded tubes, and there was also a golfball-like "bar" of actual soap as well. (Sorry, no picture of the shower itself.)Fridge contained two small bottles of water, as well as two chilled lowball glasses, an interesting touch. Coffee supplies featured two single-shot packets - one regular and one decaf. As with the Portland location, on each floor there is a Hydration Station, with a filtered water dispenser and glass carafes for guests who are tap water averse.Bed was fine, with an AC outlet and a USB connection at each side. There are outlets and USB slots at the desk as well. I made use of the clock-radio Bluetooth feature from my phone, though not the wireless charging station on its top; I confirmed that it worked to give my phone a "charging" signal, but preferred my own quick-charger just the same.No floor covering at all. Blinds did a decent job keeping out light. Dining Used my $10 credit towards a drink at the bar. I don't think I had a "typical" experience, as that evening they were somewhat swamped by some sort of gathering where everyone wore name tags. First I ordered one of their signature drinks, but the bartender had to nix that as one of the ingredients wasn't available. So, I settled for their "signature" gin-and-tonic, which was oddly presented in a highball glass with a regular, full-sized drinking straw (not a cocktail straw). For those not familiar with AC breakfast, there are cold items left out, with two hot items avilable on request, variants of each other in ramekins (included in the $15 breakfast charge). Those hot items are quite shallow in depth; I found them easier to eat with a spoon. The cold items are croissants (and another case of pastry that was empty and unlabeled), white and rye bread loaves that diners slice off themselves, an array of meats and cheeses, and two baked items (I guess you'd call it), a quiche and a sweet selection. There's a Nespresso machine, as well as urns of regualar and decaf coffee. They must have known I was coming as their beverage selection, in addition to juices, included iced coffee, not tea! Location Entrance is difficult to find as it's around back. Great location for heading into Seattle by Express Bus from the nearby transit center. Overall Recommended property, though SPG members might be better off booking a breakfast rate, as the extra cash incidental charges aren't points-qualifying.
