I recently completed a stop over here; using the property as a one night transit hotel for a morning departure from Nadi, Fiji.
I had booked a basic level room and was upgraded as a SPG Platinum to a beach front view. It seemed to be a similar sized room but direct facing and closest to the water.
The hotel is showing a bit of age. The room that I was assigned was quite dated in terms of wear and tear and fit ups.
I would treat this as a stopover property - I don't think I would come here as the beach is lacking and man made when there are so many awesome beaches in this part of the world. To be fair, this appears to be the case for all Denarau properties.
The Denarau marina is walkable for those willing to walk for 10 minutes on concrete paths. It has a number of off resort, but touristy restaurants.
I did a flyer trip report about my brief experience
