I find that Hyatt Place is the strongest. Many of these hotels are newer, more spacious... sectional bed, large plasma television, refrigerator, breakfast, for all, etc.

i do find Hyatt elite benefits inconsistent and more property dependent than SPG.

I have stayed in exactly one 4 points I would consider pleasant. The rest I find lacking. I don't mind the element hotels, but find the aloft brand quite overpriced for what they offer. Suite upgrades including SNAs are limited in these brands.

Marriott has so many discount brands I can't even keep them straight other than to say the rooms are usually dark, dated, and underwhelming. Few elite benefits in the discount brands with them.

Hilton breakfasts help at HGI and also at Hampton Inn. I like the fact HGI has a restaurant in the evening unlike most US Hampton inns I've stayed in.

Im sure holiday inn and crowne plaza fit in here somewhere. Not sure.
