Hello!

Quick question for all you Cathay frequent flyers. I wanted to upgrade from economy to premium economy using miles. I called the Marco Polo club line but unfortunately I was put on a waitlist.

Two days later, I decided to remove myself from the waitlist. I called the line again and the agent told me that he cancelled the waitlist for me. However, the waitlist still appeared on the Cathay website. I called again and again was told it was removed, but it still is still listed on the website.

I reached out to Cathay but they have told me that I need to have my travel agent cancel the upgrade.

Is that right? I had Cathay add the waitlist request. Shouldn't Cathay be the ones to cancel it? Or do I need to call my travel agent?
