I have just completed a trip with them ex-MNL last week. On the MNL-MCT leg I was moved to an F seat, which was great. Have to agree the lounge at MNL is not great, but it is MNl after all.... Overall, I was impressed by the amenities and the food was really outstanding. I've decided to move the bulk of my flying from EK to WY as I find the experience much less commercial and more personalized. Service on my first leg was mediocre, however the crew on the second leg really went above and beyond. Only caveat I have is they try to close all the windows after the first meal service in an attempt to get most passengers to sleep. Am I the only one who noticed this? Especially during a day flight, I find it odd that they tell pax to close the windows and dim the cabin.
