BA Cityflyer - Unable to select seats
Short version - Is this a new thing? Don't recall having issues with this before.
Long version -
I have a booking on AA 001 stock which has been ticketed
DUB-LCY-JFK-SFO-JFK-LHR-LCY-DUB
The DUB-LCY-JFK and the final LCY-DUB are all on BA metal. The rest on AA. I have selected seats on all the AA flights no problem.
In my BA MMB I have selected seat on the LCY-JFK leg but the DUB-LCY says 'online seat selection is currently unavailable, however you can call us to select seats'
Adding to this is the final LCY-DUB leg does not appear in my BA MMB (and nor on the my flights app)
I'm less fussed about the seats on the final leg but I have a connection at LCY from the DUB flight onto the BA01 so want / need to be as near the front as possible.
I'm wondering if the inability to select a seat is due to it being a tight connection? I'm hesitant to phone BA in case they try and change the DUB-LCY to the night before.
Any ideas / advice?
