Yes and no.

It's definitely doable. Some sites will do it too. BUT (and this is a big BUT), it will still be separate tickets.

All they are doing in this situation is giving you an agency PNR that shows both flights, when in reality they are cutting separate tickets. You will have to pay two change fees if you change, the carriers won't see each other, and you can't check bags through (though AS is usually good about that and will do it anyway). You will also likely have two charges on your credit card (though some agencies will aggregate them and mask that as one for you).

So if you do find an agency (in person or online) who can do it, it doesn't do anything for you anyway. So don't waste your time.
