Once, at SEA flying AS, there was a discrepancy between the airport monitors and the actual gate. Fortunately, they were only two gates apart at the end of the C concourse. But the poor GA had no idea and people kept asking herquestions. So, after about 10 minutes of this, I mentioned the problem to her and she called Ops and had it fixed on the airport monitors.

At least, we didn't walk down the jetway and find out the plane was going somewhere else.
