You can ask to stay in Villa 6 and choose to do difficult gorilla trekking if you are very fit. Otherwise ask for lower villas as the Lodge is located on steep slope with lots of stairs.
Some people do Golden Monkey trekking which I didn't do. The Bisate Lodge can arrange a visit to the local village and meet local people - I found the experience quite interesting.
