We're embarking on our research for travel to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji/Tahiti and are soliciting everyone's suggestions, tips, advice, etc. - you name it. If you've been there, we'd like to know what you saw that you liked, things/places to avoid (i.e. non-gay friendly), and the do-not-miss list as well. For Australia, we know there may be lots to see between Melbourne and Cairns, but dont' really know beyond Sydney. And, even there our list is limited to the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House. But what else is there to see and do in SYD? (Forgive us please, we haven't been there and are just now starting our research).

We tend to gravitate toward unique experiences, but also hit the highlights. Our idea of nightlife is a fabulous restaurant with stellar food, great wine and ambience, so nightclubs aren't important.

I've done searches on Fiji and Tahiti, but just how gay un-friendly is Fiji?? Will we have a better or just different experience in Tahiti?

To make it even more challenging, we're looking to possibly spend a week in each location. Thanks to all of you in advance for any and all advice, suggestions and tips!
