I'm not entirely sure why the OP would need to go land-side (assuming a boarding pass is safely stored in their device).
That said -
A. Your AZ flight will dock on to a B gate and from there you would follow signs to concourse E, passport control (e-gates available) and off you go, your flight will indeed depart from an E gate, either new or old (former G-gates area) wing.
B. Your AZ flight will stop at a remote stand and you will be taken to the main terminal building by bus. Once you get off the bus, do not follow exit and turn right towards the escalator instead, you'll be between the B/C area and you would walk towards the latter in order to reach concourse E (which is well signposted anyway).
Again, no need to go land-side, it's a very easy transfer these days.
