I would personally refrain from finalising the above mentioned arrangements, mostly because a number of factors could play a significant role towards the viability of your original plans and namely: potential delay of the OLB flight, delay in getting your luggage delivered (things have improved dramatically at FCO but, still, it's Rome...) and/or a queue at check-in/security just to name a couple. That said, assuming all on time, you would be collecting luggage at 8:30 (at the earliest), head to check-in (T3), clear security (note: security at T3 could be a zoo without priority) and walk to either a D or a C gate (roughly 5/10 minutes walk). All being well, you would be at the gate just in time for boarding however just a minor delay on any of the above fronts (flight, bus transfer to main terminal building, luggage, security) would put your connection at concrete risk.
