As for the airline delay, I read somewhere that you can ask for a "military excuse" that they can immediately print out at the desk. Was prepared for that when I had a 15 hour Delta flight delay but they actually proactively sent all passengers an email explaining the delay so I never needed to ask.
Ultimately, I'm impressed that credit card insurance paid out twice to me for a total of almost $800.
Yours were purchase protection claims it seems?
