Unfortunately, I wasn't offered any choices. The initial flight was delayed, ticket handlers left the airport around 2am when they couldn't find lodgings for everyone. They returned around 1pm, and when I got to the front of the line was told that they can only deal with booking people on the upcoming flight that afternoon. At that point I wasn't really trusting the flight would continue, so I returned to my departure airport.
Mostly, I'm not clear if I can expect the 'Right to reimbursement or re-routing' and the delayed flight payment, or if they are mutually exclusive since I didn't actually arrive due to the delay and my decision.
