Boeing 777 makes emergency return to YVR
RICHMOND (NEWS 1130) — An Air Canada jet had to make an emergency landing Wednesday night at Vancouver International Airport.
Flight 7 had taken off from Vancouver on its way to Hong Kong when, somewhere over Alaska, the pilot turned the Boeing 777 around and returned.
Air Canada tells NEWS 1130 the flight had to turn around because of “an issue on board.”
The airline did not elaborate.
The plane touched down safely around 7:30 p.m.
