nikd, I'm sure that AS makes necessary adjustments on board. Certainly if I show up with a cast on my leg, I may lose my exit row seat. But usually MVP's and Golds can choose exit row seats online or over the phone at time of booking. This is the first time I've been told that a whole exit row was blocked and couldn't be assigned (as opposed to already being full.) And in this case they gave me row 15, which is still an exit row.
This flight is still a ways off. Hopefully I'll remember to turn around and see who is in the second exit row. Maybe it will be full of angry Gold's who lost their F seats when the 737-900 was switched for another craft. Or better yet, angry Golds who were displaced when F class was eliminated completely.

Hope not, though. Don't want a gaggle of angry Golds behind me. Nope.
