I could not find a JW Marriott Macau thread. This post refers to my visit in April 2017.

The JW Marriott is part of the Galaxy Macau resort.

As such you get access to the Galaxy Macau Grand Resort deck which is quite fun and novel: https://www.galaxymacau.com/en/macau...nd-resort-deck. I have no photos of this below as they wouldn't be as good as the website and I stored my phone whilst I enjoyed the water.

Check-in:

Because of the horrid World of Hyatt, I thought I would try the competition and moved to the JW Marriott Macau for one night. The shuttle bus dropped me at the Galaxy Macau and it took a while to actually find an entrance for the JW Marriott Macau. I asked to be directed to the Club Lounge desk when Happy Hour was already in progress.

Happy Hour at the Club:

Compared to the Grand Hyatt Macau, the Happy Hour drink and food selections were incredibly disappointing and I was glad I ate at the Grand Hyatt Macau.





















Suite:

Being only Marriott Gold, I was surprised to be upgraded to what appears to be the Chairman Suite



















Gym:

The gym is decent but it was very hot.











Breakfast:

I had breakfast in the main restaurant. I was not charged extra for this upon checkout.

Conclusion:

The JW Marriott is decent with a good breakfast and facilities so probably quite nice for families. For me, the Club Happy Hour offering is extremely important in Macau so I will not be returning despite the very generous, and perhaps one-off, suite upgrade.
