i just did MNL BKK IKA BKK MNL TG in Y.

alcohol is served in the flight, even over iranian airspace.

iranians like to drink.

the TG whisky and vodka is cheap stuff. the gin is at least bombay sapphire so its a half decent g&t and chang beers for me.

J might be worth it as the BKK IKA BKK route has a fairly high load factor, at least it was this week. and the 777 they use for BKK IKA have Y seats that do not have seat slide forward as the back reclines, like the Y seats on 777 300 which is used for MNL BKK.


bring a lot of sunscreen and lip balm....so sunny and dry in iran right now.

enjoy the trip! iran was a great experience. the persians are very kind and hospitable.


this was one of my longest trips and yet the least expensive as locals offer everything from tea, to food, to a place to stay.
