I flew the old angled flat 763 from KOA-DFW last year, it's a redeye flight and I arrived having had very little sleep indeed.
I'm off on this MAN-SAT fare in a couple of weeks, but routing via HEL & CDG to avoid the 763 in favour of AA's 789 and AY's A330.
As I'm not chasing TPs and actually had to be in SAT, this fare worked well for me as a straight MAN-ORD-SAT with a 20hr stop in ORD. Though as I'm leaving on Friday making it as far as SAT isn't guaranteed at this point!
Would prefer the new layout, obviously, as I'd like to get a couple of hours so I'm not too battered going out in ORD on Friday night with friends, but $500 will soften the blow somewhat if it does end up being the old one.
