I officer was fully held up with a family who seemed to have immigration issues. Queue was 100s of people long wth 1 person processing.

Finally opened e gates but by that point anyone with a Manchester boarding card would have failed conformance.

Got to CCR and it is deserted - not surprised- no-one could get through the queue. Our fellow cabin travellers with non UK passport are now just coming though and they were at the front of the queue.
You were on the flight? So was I. Heading to ams first though then BA on midday flight. I glanced over to domestic connections when I got to T5A and there were around 5 people waiting, but I was one of the first there from the hkg flight so without the e gates and with only two officers it would easily build up.

As my ams flight was from t5c (t5c connections wasn't open unfortunately) just headed to the GC(n) for 5 minutes before heading back to c.

EDIT: also don't be afraid if you have a EU/EEA passport to head landside and use TFW or north/south fast track.
