They have the Visa/MC/Discover/AmEx/JCB/Diners sticker on one of the registers, but they've covered the Diners and AmEx logos. I'm curious why they didn't cover JCB as well, but perhaps they know it's over the Discover network? However, doesn't Diners also run over MC in the US?

Finally, a customer in front of me tried to pay with AmEx, but the same cashier said, "We don't take American Express." I'm curious if it's actually blocked or simply cashier enforced?

Enabling EMV here with customer facing terminals is a welcome move because previously they had been inconsistently asking for ID for purchases over a certain dollar amount.
