I have some cross-Oz flights to do and the only reasonable option is to fly Virgin Australia, and the only reasonable way to get *A credit is to book on an SQ code.

Would those flights earn any miles in Asiana Club, or is it on a metal basis only? I would guess codeshares like those don't count, but maybe Asiana is somehow different and I am sure somebody once tried this...
